Robin Blay

Solicitor

Robin has gained over 20 years of diverse experience in litigation in the Commercial, Chancery and Insolvency Courts practicing from niche firms in the City and West End of London.

Robin routinely engages in property-related work and commercial litigation disputes. His cases often bring him into litigation relating to company directors’ duties, enforcement of Judgments and specialist insolvency-related proceedings. He has represented companies, partnerships and private individuals before the Courts and in Alternative Dispute Resolution processes in an impressive variety of specialist and high-value litigation matters.

He acted for defendants in high profile fraud proceedings for several years, whilst during the same period successfully representing US claimants in English defamation proceedings after their names were published on an internet blacklist. Both sets of proceedings involved applications for injunctions.

Other key specialisms include disputes between shareholders, proceedings for damages for professional negligence (including proceedings brought against other Solicitors), contentious probate and wills and trust-related litigation. He has acted both for and against insurers and undertaken cross-border Judgment recognition disputes.

Robin is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association.
