Tax, Wills and Estate Planning

We have a strong track record of looking after non-domiciliaries in the UK.

Whether you are a high net-worth individual, an entrepreneur or a young person venturing abroad in the hope of realising your dreams, we can help.

We help you move to the UK, while you are in the UK and with your departure from the UK. It’s work that is personal to you and so we’re always on call when you need us.

Private clients like you find it paramount to understand and optimise the potential tax benefits available to you and to structure your assets onshore and offshore in the best possible way.

Our private client advice is tailored to consider:

  • Tax issues in England & Wales
  • Trusts, foundations and life insurance policies
  • Estate planning
  • Probate issues
  • Protection of assets in relation to marriage

The kinds of questions that we get asked by clients in this area include:

  • When is the right time to update my will?
  • Do I need to do any tax planning advice?
  • What kinds of changes would require me to change my wills, tax or estate planning?
  • Which jurisdictions am I better off using for my tax, wills and estate planning?
  • Are my rights affected by having homes in more than one country?
  • What is the most efficient way for me to structure my estate?

If you’d like us to help you answer these or any other tax, wills or estate planning questions, then please do get in touch.

Divorce / Children Disputes

Family law is an area that requires a thorough grasp of technical legal issues, but it needs to be handled in a way that leaves people at peace. Few other areas of law require quite the level of tact and personal care as family law. Our team is regularly praised for its work in handling delicate matters in a discreet, professional and caring manner.

We work predominantly in the following four areas:

  • Divorce/Financial disputes – including consideration of (i) which jurisdiction to bring your claim; and (ii) requirements of disclosure
  • Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements
  • Co-habitation
  • Children disputes

We aim to guide you through a difficult time, fight your battles when necessary and seek resolution where possible. We aim to provide a clear overview of the process which can be archaic and frustrating for many.

The team has acted in some of the most complex High Court (family division) cases in recent times and regularly acts on high-profile, multi-jurisdictional, cases.
